I do have my basic information, but not my address or billing information or anything like that. On my Facebook, I only keep my gender, date of birth, and the interests and such. But even that stuff is protected, so only friends can see my personal info. ^w^
Sorta? I do have a lot of things about my life, but I don't have like; what specific town I live in, my last name, all the names of my RL friends, etc. But, I answered yes cuz I slightly figured there would be more 'no' than 'yes' aaand the yes needs some loooove.
I don't have a lot public, but to have a facebook account and, for example, a profile on deviantart, you have to give some personal info out. I also have bought a lot of stuff online, and most places require personal info along with bank account/credit card/money info. I don't tell people on facebook that I'm wearing pink panties and am attending a dress rehearsal for a drag wedding, for example. People I know post specific info on where they are right now, and I think that's too much. Most of my personal info is on databases, not easily accessible by most people, but I put 'yes', because I think that is a lot to give out.
I guess I don't know your definition of a lot. Although I probably do. I have my name, age, general location, and some random happenings online. But I also don't blog out every part of my life, either.
Sometimes it's wise to be cautious, Identity theft is an increasing problem owing to social networking sites, besides DA all the other sites I use don't really ask for such information, I think keeping your address private is important, there are all kinds of weirdo's permeating the internet
I don't think that I do, because I've seen and heard about things that other people do. I usually have city and country information. But 2 million people could have the same. It's only different on Facebook, where the name of my school is included.
Same here. I talk about school and family a lot, and only...two people go to my college (and even then, one was accidental and the other is never online)? One knows me very well, family/home/school/ect., one knows me only through our roleplays, a third knows me through choir competitions, and the others are people that found me because of my work on DA.
