I don't like the really popular new music like Ke$ha or Justin Bieber, but I like the bands that aren't as well known like My Chemical Romance and Kill Hannah. But I also really like old bands like Blink 182, Smashing Pumpkins, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. :>
In my theory class, we're currently learning about chance music, electric music, and eclectic music. It's interesting. Electronic music tends to sound like it belongs in a horror movie (Subotnick's Silver Apples of the Moon and Crumb's Black Angels in particular), but it's still very interesting.
But I also like modern or new music. English bands from the 90s like Good Charlotte and Green Day, or people like Ben Folds.
Then there's Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha.They're not so bad -- maybe not my favorite, but still catchy and entertaining.
And of course my favorites -- German, Korean, and Japanese pop, rock, and alternative, most of which are comprised of groups created within the past five years.
I looove old music! Queen, R.E.M., The Who and more. it seems to me that today's music is terrible. Justin Bieber, Rihanna, One direction, Jonas Brothers, LMFAO... But not all is terrible..
